Listening to "The Lighthouse Family" – Ocean Drive

With the trip to Arran right round the corner I can only feel excited! I have been looking forward to this trip for a long time. At first I did not want to go on it, since then I thought to myself that a trip to Scotland my not be so bad as I have never been before.

Like Lyall I am worried about the communal showers, I know it is Scotland but are they that backwards?! The only advice I can give is; whatever you do, DON'T DROP THE SOAP!

I have decided to risk everything and take my laptop. Some people may say what is the point? The answer to that is that we will be doing lots of written work and I need it for that. I also heard that we will be continuing with some class work. However, I’m not sure if that is true. I can only hope that they have good security and that the cleaners (if we have them) don't decide to think lucky!

I think the whole thing will be fun though. I haven’t been on a holiday in a while, I just decided I would stop going on them as I don't travel all that well. I know this is going to sound very snobbish but I have been to most places in Europe and a few other counties out of it as well. Although none of them have been as wet as Scotland is going to be I am willing to bet!

I saw Mrs Fry, my Geography teacher, in Town yesterday and looked straight through her, not intentional, I was really embarrassed when I realised what I had done! Oh well. It will be a long time until I next see her.

So, now I have finally made a new post on my blog! Lois will be pleased as I can remember her nagging me to put one up a while ago. I have also added two new blogs to my blog roll.

Face crabs, AHHH! March 16, 2006

Just about every lunch time I go into the sixthform library and play Half Life.

It is a very good game, however it scares the crap out of me as people who know me will confirm! Yesterday I was playing the game, it was very quiet in the library, I got attacked by a face crab in a dark, narrow vent. I yelled out in shock! How embarrassing!

It is very funny, so I am told, Big Phil seems to find it very funny! At the end of the month I will be a quivering pile of jelly! That game eats away at your nerves!

At the end of the day I seem to be the only person who gets made jump so easily when playing the game!

Geography, a land of laughs March 15, 2006

Hail Mr. Williams and his legendary geography lessons!

Every Tuesday, lessons four and five, has to be the best part of the school week for me. When thinking about it that is kind of sad.

From Duncan yelling and making Lyall feel stupid, to Mr. Williams making Lauren look dumb! All meant light heartedly of cause, but it is sooo funny! I may not be very good at geography but it is worth staying on just for the laughs!

Everyone makes fun of each other, with Mr. Williams adding, if not running the whole ordeal!

By a very long way, Mr. Williams is one of the best teachers in the school, only rivaled by Mr. Walden and that is not a fair fight.

As a bonus I prefer physical geography to human which makes Mr. Williams’s lessons all the more interesting!

I think I can safely say that 6thForm at Thurston will be two of the best years of my life.

Rude Awakening March 13, 2006

Today I had a rude awakening from my sister leaving the bathroom in a hurry, the bathroom is right outside my bedroom door on the other side of the hall so when she goes in there it always wakes me up! She swings the bolt so fast it creates loud BANG which more often than not makes me jump!

After I had finished in the Bathroom she then had a go at me for being too long as she needed to clean here teeth! Of course the end result of that is she had a go at me for making her late for work!

I ask you, how the hell is that my fault! She gets up at six, stays in the bathroom until eight, and expects me to be ready in half an hour! That, ladies and gentlemen, is impossible! It could explain me hair styles recently though! those of you who have seen me will know that they get more “interesting” as the week goes on!

After that I feel like Lyall bitching about his mother! It is wrong… But it feels so good dam it!
